What do you need help with?

If you have an android device, we recomend that you procede to the Google Pay Store and download TacMap. The android app has more features than the web app (messaging, objectives, symbol selection, team registration, no ads etc.) If you have any questions, follow the 30 second tutorial on the login screen of the app.

You are also able to use the web app if you choose, see below for more info.

To use the javascript Web app, click the home button above then select the green "To TacMap" button at the bottom of the page.

Once clicked, you will be asked to provide a team name and password where you will be taken to a pre map options menu. This options menu is the only part of the website/app with ads, so beware. If you have a mobile device with GPS, you will have the option here to enter a TacMap that will report your position to your allies. Otherwise, if you are on a non-gps enabled device, you will have to select a commanders TacMap.

The commanders TacMap displays the locations of all teammates, however it does not automatically refresh. Hit the reload button to observe the new locations of your allies on the map. You must have cookies on for both of these options!

Setting objectives allows you to place time sensitive objectives on your teams TacMap. This could be used to display where a squad needs to be to recieve points for your team. Time sensitive means that there is a start and end time for these objectives. A user of the Android app can choose to display all objectives, or only the active ones.

To set objectives, click "Set Objectives" on the Tacmap.org home page. From here mark the location you want the objective to be located, and enter all the required information beneath the map. This includes time information in military time. Use the format:

DD-MM-YYYY-HH:mm

D should be day, of the format 02 or 21. M should be month, of the format 01 or 12. Year should be the 4 digit year of the objective. H should be the hour in 24 hour military format. 1 oclock am will be 01, and 1 oclock pm wil be 13. m is minute and should be self explanitory.

For Example, an objective set to May 1st, 2016 at Noon would be 01-05-2016-12:00

So you are sending your team GPS data to our servers. What is done with that? Are we using this data to make a profit?

Absolutely Not.

Planet Craig Paintball is dedicated to its users privacy, and not entirely due to the fact that we use the exact same app you do. The TacMap team has no intention of making use of your location data. In fact, when you log out your Callsign and all associated GPS data are wiped from our database. This not only aids your privacy, but it makes the app run faster for your teammates. Win Win!
